How well does mane & tail shampoo and conditioner work on long curly hair?

I have really curly hair thats about six inches past my shoulders and i'm planning on growing it out past my butt. It takes a while to comb out now and I need a really good system for when it gets long. A friend of mine reccomended mane %26amp; tail shampoo and conditioner for horses and said it worked wonders, is it really that good? and is there anything thats stronger?

My mom used this on my hair for years. I loved it. It is very inexpensive. Use all of the mane and tail products. (the conditiioner, shampoo, and leave-in conditioner)

I have tried SO SO many different shampoos, conditioners, and other hair products, but no matter what I try, I always come back to the following system:

Personally, I LOVE Tresemme Vitamin B12 and Gelatin Anti-Breakage shampoo and conditioner. While the conditioner is sitting on my hair, I comb through it with a wide tooth comb. THEN I wash, shave, etc., while the conditioner sits. I always rinse the conditioner last (first with warm water, then with cold).

When I get out of the shower I wrap the towel around my head to absorb a lot of the water, then I comb it with a wide-toothed comb (again) and then I put a couple of drops of olive oil in my palms and then rub through my hair (DO NOT USE MORE THAN A DROP OR TWO OR YOUR HAIR WILL BE GREASY AND FLAT!)

I finish (after my hair is dry) with a few drops of a silicone hair shiner.

I have this question all the time from clients. I will tell you the same thing that I tell them. Don't! Mane and Tail is for horses. Have you ever felt the hair of a horse? It is very course and dry. For humans it has way to much wax and other additives. Some people even say that it makes thier hair fall out. If you need something to make your hair tame and not hard to handle try Sleek products by matrix or Curly sexy hair products.

it does wonders...i am 1/2 blk wht...just a little and it rocks...you can't go wrong with the price and my hair grows pretty fast ....i cutt it twice a year just to keep it above my butt.....p.s a horses tail is not dry from this shampoo and condictioner....what a horses tail.....

well ive used it on my curly hair n its all i use its the best but if u dont beleve me try it n see u will c better results than u ever have with any other hair shampoo
