Does the Beach Make Straight Hair Curly?

This question is not for me, since my hair is already naturally tightly-coiled and afro-like and I definitely don't need it to be any curlier. This is for a friend of mine who has naturally sleek, straight hair. Could going often to the beach change the texture of her hair? I don't mean that it'll necessarily become super curly, but could it become wavier because of the moisture and the beach water? Seems like it does, but I'm not too sure. She's dying to have more wave and curl in her hair, and would really like to know if the beach often enough would help achieve that look!

Spray sea-salt and water into damp hair and allow to dry, beach waves should form.

Yes, the sea air will kink up your hair. it's not something that will maintain a look though. If you want more curl in your hair, get a body wave.

I do't know if it can make it permanently curly, but yes, while she's at the beach it will add texture and wave

If you have natural curl, humidity will bring it out.
