What will happen if i perm my hair curly and it is already semi-curly?

I want to perm my hair curly. I have curls, but they aren't tight. They are more like waves. I want my hair to look like this: http://www.wiggoddess.com/images/Audrey.... But since my hair is very thick, and semi-curly, I'm wondering how it would turn out..

Trust me, even if you perm it, it won't look like that. I've permed my wavy hair for most of my life, and right after it each one, it looks curlier, but once it starts growing out, it gets kind of flat. You should find someone who will do a really good job that will last for some time. Since your hair is already kind of curly, the curl on the perm will hold better than if your hair was straight. :o)
