sometimes i want a fun new style, so i try curl enhancing spray our mousse, and scrunch my hair, and my hair always turns out straight. when i braid and unbraid them it gets a little wavy, but how can i get it nice and curly? I love my straight hair, but its fun to try new styles.

I have a trick for this.

After I wash my hair I apply styling gel or mousse, then dry my hair til it's almost dry. I then divide it into two parts, twist each part then twist them together. I usually lean forward to do this and end up with a topknot bun on top of and off center on my head.

I wear this as a swept-up do during the day at work or whatever, then let it down later for a dramatic, wavy look that isn't as 'kinky' as braids make it and looks very natural.

i take a shower/get my hair wet before bed, and i take 1/3 of my hair and twist it to make it into a bun. i do that with the other two thirds and then spray hairspray on them. i wake up, take them down and blowdry,it turns out really good.

Usually curlers are the bestt, but since you don't want curlers use a curling iron. I use that when i did a special part in a play and they came out really good, you just miight have to put hair spray in it. What i do is riight after the shower i wait until my hair is damp and put it in a messy bun and when i take it out i look liike a model, hahh i take a lot of pics liike that because it comes out reallyyyyy cutee, i always get compliments from it. You could also get a perm so its always curly, but you might now want that. But if you don't want to take the time and use a curling iron, try the messy bun thing. Hope i helped!

We used to do what was called "rag rolling" It isn't uncomfortable to sleep on like rollers.

You cut up old clothes, towels, etc., into 1 inch strips, roll damp hair around them, and sleep on it. It looks like a perm the next day!
